Album Notes
After braving the warm 35 degree (celsius) temperatures of tropical Sri Lanka, I headed back to more temperate climes. That is, of course, Newfoundland in winter. I was dearly hoping for snow.. how can you have Christmas without snow? Naturally, St. John's had its warmest Christmas ever at +15 degrees celsius. No snow.
By New Year, the temperatures righted themselves and brought some welcome flurries but here are a few beloved photos of St. John's and some hiking trails around the Avalon Peninsula. My kudos to the East Coast Trail Association who have really made these trails a joy to walk on. Of course the lovely trails and the warm weather made our supposedly "dangerous" winter hikes into something quite summer like!
Also part of this collection is small number of photos from my visit to Hodges Cove to visit my very close friend Eddie Thomas and his family. Such a peaceful place and such wonderful people.
