Album Notes
From the capital of Colombo to the southern tip of Dondra Head, to Kataragama, Tissamaharama, the highlands and north-central Sri Lanka, we travelled a wide-swathe of the country during our December trip. The Sights of Serendib (as the island was once known) gives a fair sampling of the vistas we encountered.
After traveling the island we ended our stay by celebrating New Year's on the warm sandy beaches of the Indian Ocean, complete with fireworks, sometimes thrown into the sky, sometimes thrown at us.
