Album Notes
When there's snow all about you can choose to stay in, or you can choose to go out. When you go out there is a tendency to fall in. After one weekend of wandering around Elk Island National Park with hikers on and sinking knee deep into snow, I decided to try this thing called "snowshoeing".
I imagined I would have tennis rackets strapped to my feet. Instead what I rented from Mountain Equipment Coop looked more like small squat skis. More importantly though, they are fun. One weekend my friend Julian Karst and I conquered Lake Tawayik in Elk Island National Park. The next weekend, Eddie, Melissa and Japanese student Miyuki joined me to jump down slopes in Lake Louise.
